Well, this is not a fresh news..
but I finally got a summer placement!!!
I have been worried that I would have to go home and rot for 3 months..
but this job saved me..
What a relief..
The pay is not the greatest but it was enough to sustain my life here in the UK..
Hehehe..
I was actually planning to get myself a PS3 as Christmas present..hehehe..
but nah..I changed my mind..
Getting a console might not worth the money after all..
It would feel great at first because of the games and the graphic quality..
but I bet after a few months, I would rarely have the time to play it..
especially since I'm going to be a 3rd year student next year..
which means that I will have my first plant design project!!
Heard that it would take up most of my time..
so gotta anticipate it..
Hmm..this will be my first summer I spent in the UK..
Will be going back for 2 weeks though..
I would love to work right away..
but if you remember my previous entries about something good gonna happened..
Well, it really happened..and for that reason, I have to go back no matter what..
even if it is only a week or so..
My parents even said that I can go back twice if I want..
which is definitely out of my option..
but yeah..I'm glad that I finally got a job and earning my own money..
The problem now is "Will I be able to live up to my employer's expectation?"
Well, only time will tell..

Today I went to my friend's blog and gosh..
I was shocked by the amount of profanities used in the blog..
It really corrupted my mind..
Even though the spelling is tweaked, people can still know what the person is talking about...
I gave up after reading the blog for like 5 minutes..
I can't take it anymore..
Anyway, I'm going to get a new phone soon..
Well, I hope I can..
I have 4 candidates actually but after a long and arduous discussion, I decided to rule out Sony Ericsson W960i..
So the remaining 3 candidates are:
When you talk about smartphones, this must be one of the candidates.It is a fully touchscreen phone with stylus. Equipped with Symbian OS, so you can actually download tons of applications for your phone. The most prominent application in the phone is perhaps iSkoot which is basically Skype software. It's somewhat similar to the Skype phones offered by 3, one of the mobile operators in UK but style is what governs my choices..The only drawback is maybe the 3.2Mpx. Oh..and it has Wi-Fi!!!
This might be my favourite out of the 3 phones..Stylish, sleek and it has most of the features that I want except Wi-Fi..but the style factor is what really makes me interested in this phone..The only drawback from the phone is maybe the camera lens which is unprotected and may be scratched easily..
Finally, Samsung G800...I like this phone because of its stylish 5Mpx camera and also because it is the first mobile phone with optical zoom camera..The keypad design actually makes me think twice when I wanted to decide which one to eliminate from my 4 choices but the screen resolution is the best out of all my choices above..so hard to rule it out..
Which one to choose? I dunno..but I tend to go for LG.. My friend suggested P1i and I feel obliged to follow that suggestion..but I dunno..only time will decide..I shall make my final decision in 2 weeks time so hopefully I can make the right one..hehehehe..
Oh..and something good happened yesterday!!!

Another day and another page of my life is complete..
Today I can't help but wonder..
Does age really has nothing to do with our maturity??
I've always thought that the older you get, the more mature you are...
but apparently, this does not apply to HM...
For the umpteenth times, he acted childish again..
It was during Separation Process class today..
There is a Turkish girl in my class who is an exchange student for a year in Newcastle..
She was chatting happily with HM and the others..
They were talking about exam marks when HM asked about her marks in Reactor Engineering..
After that, he called me from the back and asked my mark for the same module..
I told him and then he shouted,"Woah..her marks are higher than you!!"
I was speechless and embarrassed at the same time...
I can't believe that at this stage of life, there is still people who compare marks with one another..
If I may ask a question here..What is the difference between 70,80 and 90 marks in university???
They are basically the same because all of them fall under 1st class category..
At the end of the day, 1st class is what really matters...
People will not ask "What is your mark for this module?" when you apply for work...
Seriously, I really think he's the most pathetic person in the world now..
I'd spent 4 years in Singapore but I never met someone as ridiculous as him!!!
My gosh...why is this happening to me?
I really cannot believe it..
I was in a very good mood today after I listened to Mika Nakashima's new single and this happened!!
FYI, he is 1 year older than me and he is always very proud of that for unknown reason..
Personally, I wouldn't be happy if someone said I'm old...
I prefer to be Forever Young..hehehehe..
but sighzzzz....s*** happens and there's another thing that disturbs me and I think I have to share with you readers...
Not so long ago, HM suddenly announced his plan to recover his reputation...
I dunno if he even has one to begin with..
Anyway, I dunno what he said afterwards, and suddenly my friend OC teased him by trying to scold him..
and what he mentioned next made me really interested in the conversation..
"You don't have the right to scold others"
The moment he said that, I feel that spring has arrived in Newcastle..
I think someone might have knocked some sense into his corrupted head...
I can't believe he really said that because that would be another contradictory statement from him!!!
I would say that scolding people is really one of his hobbies..
and for him to say that is,thus, really really amazing!!!!
I really hope for someone to enlighten him and that person is definitely not me because to me, he is somewhat incorrigible...hehehe..an interesting word I learnt from my friend in JC..hehehehe..
I am definitely writing with no regret here..
Even if he were to see this, I'm not afraid because it would save me the time and effort to make him realize how pathetic he is in my eyes...

Hmm...hmmm..
I just finished watching Doraemon Movie 2007
and I have to say that it's another superb movie!!!
The storyline, the soundtrack...
basically everything about the movie is good!!!
One thing I like about Doraemon Movie is that it always has a good balance between action, comedy and drama..
The storyline never disappoints me even though I already read the manga..
I still enjoy watching the movie..
It sure worth the wait..
It was released in April 2007 in Japan..
and I have to wait until today to get the subbed movie!!!
But all that wait sure pays off..
A good movie is always worth the wait..
You may say that Doraemon is for kids and bla bla bla..
but it has valuable lessons that we can learn..
"Even the cowardest person on Earth can do something outstanding"
Basically, everybody has the potential to achieve something great in their life..
No matter how useless you may seem to be, you just got to keep on trying and wait for your time to come...
A quote from Doraemon, "If you can dream it, you can do it"..
A quote that certainly pushes me towards my dream..
To have a happy and meaningful life no matter what challenges I may encounter in my life..
